The beauty and attractiveness of a landscape of a garden can be greatly enhanced through the planting of trees.   The type of trees to plant and the time to plant should be considered before you decide to start the planting.  Researching on the type of trees that would suit your landscape is a good idea before heading to the nursery to buy.   The function of the trees, adaptability to the landscape and their size are some of the things to consider before buying.

Choose trees to plant according to the function that you intend for them.   People plant trees for different purposes including blocking unwanted views and noise, conservation of water and energy, controlling of soil erosion, beauty and attraction of wildlife.   To block undesirable views and block noise, the best trees to plant are those that grow thick and dense tree cover while those that grow low provide the best option for controlling soil erosion.

It is also advisable to consider how the tree you plant will fit and be positioned in your garden.  The trees you plant should be a good fit for your garden or landscape depending on their size, form and size of your garden.  You do not want to plant that will grow to block your house or draining system or a desired view.   To avoid problems in the future when the trees are fully grown, avoid growing big trees too close to power lines or your house.
